I help young soccer players to develop their game and the teams they play in to become better. I am able to help young soccer players develop their skill-sets, achieve more playing success, and reach their playing potential.
My experience in soccer spans 44 years primarily in New Zealand and Australia, also in the Pacific Islands, England and the Netherlands. I have elite-level experience in playing and coaching youth soccer, administering New Zealand's largest soccer club, including its chairmanship, designing and leading elite player development camps, and coaching soccer teams in national tournaments and on international tours.
My soccer qualifications include: the FA Youth Award Modules 1 and 2, Coerver Coaching Training, and the National Academy Coaching Licence from New Zealand Soccer.
Applying a "practice as you want to play" coaching philosophy and using my 19 years of experience coaching youth soccer, I develop players and teams to reach higher levels of performance success.
I create a positive learning environment that encourages player input and ownership of their performance goals. This extends to empowering players to take responsibility for decisions and actions in game play.
Soccer is a team game and I enjoy working alongside other coaches, bringing out the best in each other, for the player's benefit. Being in a coaching team which shares a similar philosophy enables more contact time and learning opportunity for players.
I offer both Individual Player Skills Training and Small-sided Game Training for groups of players. To ask about these player development opportunities, please use any of the contact options listed alongside.
